              "Let's learn some new words today"

Today, I was reading a magazine and I found so many new words and I thought of sharing with you all so that you will be able to learn some new words.

1) Deter: Discourage, dissuade, prevent or stop someone from doing something
Example: "Nothing can deter you from success if you believe in yourself".

 2) Remit: Cancel, repeal, reverse, refrain, set aside, withdraw 
Example: He now remits his fears.

3) Resonate: To relate harmoniously
Example: My fashion label resonates with me.

4) Roped in: To convince or persuade a person or group to do something
Example: Renowned Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi has roped in actor Ishaan Khatter and Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman for a project.

5) Elf: a supernatural creature of folk tales, typically represented as a small, elusive figure in human.
Example: In many situations, a dream displaying an elf is not a very good omen.

6) Voyeurism: the practice of gaining sexual pleasure from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity.
Example: Delhi Police registered a case against the Hotel staff for voyeurism.

7)Twitterati: Users of Twitter, especially those who post frequently and have a large number of followers.
Example: Gopal is a Twitterati, he spends most of his time on twitter.

8) Colossal: Huge, massive, big, huge, hefty
Example: My inbox has a colossal amount of unanswered mails.

9) Slam: Criticise strongly
Example: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi slams Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on hate crimes.

10) Cut down or cut back: Consume less
Example: My doctor told me to cut back the amount of salt in my diet.
