Phrasal Verbs 

Phrasal verbs are usually two-word phrases consisting of verb + adverb or verb + preposition. Like many other verbs, phrasal verbs often have more than one meaning.




1) ask around: ask many people the same question

Example: asked around but nobody has seen my pen-drive.

2) get over something: recover from an illness, loss, difficulty 

Example:I just got over the fever and now feeling very weak.

3)make up: forgive each other

ExampleWe were angry last night, but we made up at lunch.

4) not on: unacceptable
Example:Stop giving bribes, it's just not on.

5) put up with sby/ sthg: tolerate
Example:I will not put up with your bad behavior any longer
